What does the Level 3 NVQ Diploma Occupational Work Supervision cover?
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma Occupational Work Supervision assesses a candidate’s ability to act as a supervisor to a group of same skill operatives.
All candidates will complete the following mandatory modules:

Co-ordinating and Organising Work Operations in the Workplace
Monitoring Progress of Work Against Schedules in the Workplace
Beyond the mandatory modules, the course content will vary depending on which modules the candidate chooses. The available optional modules may include:
Allocating and Monitoring the Use of Plant and Equipment in the Workplace
Confirming Work Meets Quality Standards in the Workplace
Implementing Procedures to Support the Team’s Performance in the Workplace
Co-ordinating and Confirming Dimensional Control of Requirements of the Work in the Workplace
Who is the Level 3 NVQ Diploma Occupational Work Supervision aimed at?
This qualification is aimed at experienced operatives in a skilled trade who oversee a group of same skill operatives (e.g. steel fixers, labourers etc.). These individuals are often referred to as Gangers or Foremen.

What are the entry requirements for the Level 3 NVQ Diploma Occupational Work Supervision?
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification but candidates must have the potential and opportunity to gain this qualification successfully.
The Level 3 NVQ Diploma Occupational Work Supervision is designed to assess your capability in your current role – it is therefore recommended that you are currently employed as a supervisor of skilled workers. Potential candidates will be asked to demonstrate they are competent in the area of work they supervise prior to registration. This could be evidenced either by a Level 2 NVQ in your area of supervision or a letter from your employer to confirm your suitability, accompanied by a professional conversation or portfolio evidence of previous experience.
Our assessors will carry out an initial assessment of each candidate’s skills and knowledge to identify any gaps and help plan the assessment.
This qualification is competence-based meaning that candidates must demonstrate the level of competence described in the units.
Assessment is the process of measuring a candidate’s skill, knowledge and understanding against the standards set in the qualification. The qualification must be assessed in line with the Construction Skills Consolidated Assessment Strategy and must be internally assessed by an appropriately experienced and qualified assessor.
Each candidate is required to produce a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates their achievement of all of the learning outcomes and assessment criteria for each unit. Evidence can include:
Observation report by assessor
Record of oral and written questioning
Recognition of Prior Learning
